General Counsel for PartyGaming plc, Gibraltar
SSG Legal Executive Search was retained by PartyGaming in Spring 2007 to find a new General Counsel. Online gaming was undergoing significant changes at this time, in particular with the US DoJ taking a particular interest in the sector. It was therefore essential that the new GC was able to represent the interests of the company by lobbying at the highest level as well as understanding the legal essentials.
We instituted a print and online media campaign supported by targeted headhunting, and from a response of over 250, short listed 20 individuals for interview. Six of these were submitted to the client and our favoured candidate started work within 3 months of our initial mandate.
